The Tyrian College of Magic

The Tyrian College of Magic (created 1333 AE) is a school for magically gifted students, opened on the isle of Autarkia, in the Fire Island chain. After initially settling the banks of the small island and creating enchantments to shroud it from the sight of corsairs and monsters alike, staff moved further inland, where it begun building a sprawling campus in the troglodyte ruins left by a settlement from humanity's shrouded early history.Under the leadership of headmaster Galileo Venici, the college offers courses in elementalism, chaos magic, necromancy, shadow magic, blacksmithing and a number of courses on common areas of skill, such as magical artifice or the creation and use of glyphs and signets. Prospective students go through an interview process to be placed in the right curriculum, at the appropriate level. From there, progression happens through a mix of theoretical and practical exams, culminating in the demanding graduation trial.The guild holds ingame events in its guild hall, mostly class-themed, as well as a smaller number of Discord interactions, and casual roleplay. We welcome invested players willing to give progression RP a shot, and nerd out over any number of chaotic scenarios. Lore on magic is agreed by consensus, with some issues being left open-ended so as to leave students and staff alike with the needed freedom to create.
